Obituary

 

Dominic Sebastian Fell

28th May 1996 – 1st January 2020

 

It is with much regret to announce the tragic demise of Dominic Sebastian Fell (23) Dominic director of the John Harrison Foundation and the youngest son of JHF Founder; Christina McGilligan-Fell, former Mayor of North East Lincolnshire.

 

Dominic was taken along with two Air Crew colleagues from British Airways in a tragic road accident on New Year’s Eve 2019 near to Heathrow.

 

Dom was a caring soul and environmentalist from an early age; this was expressed through his photography and humanitarianism.

 

Born raised and educated in Great Grimsby, Dom was proud of his Northern Heritage which was depicted in his photographic publication booklet of the Fish Market, Grimsby Dock whilst a student at the UAL.

 

He also worked alongside Box Clever Productions documenting a photographic record in various locations. Dom also spent time with the Grimsby Telegraph as a placement during his time as a student at the Grimsby Institute of Further and Higher Education. Dom Spent the summer of 2015 at the Summer Camp of Shandaken, New York State documenting the campers participation in their daily activities and evening programs to be published on the website for parents to access, gaining further skills and experience to progress his career aspirations.

 

He gained a degree in Photojournalism at the University of the Arts, London.

He subsequently gained a position with BA as Cabin Crew in the mix Fleet Operation. Dominic had flown almost a million miles in his less than three years service with BA.

 

Dominic’s generous personality was soon recognized and touched many lives of passengers; crew alike from all over the world. He became a much loved and respected member of the BA ‘family’. As a lasting tribute to Dominic a large number of BA personal attended the celebration of Dom’s life. 30th January 2020.

 

The cards, flowers, heartfelt personal letters have been of a great comfort to his family and close friends.

 

Dominic leaves behind two sisters two brother and two parents.
